Terms of Service

By using CVRole, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CVRole ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

CVRole is an AI-powered CV (resume) builder that allows users to create, edit, export, and share professional CVs in Arabic and English. The Service includes:

  • AI-assisted CV writing and optimization via Claude AI
  • Professional CV templates (ATS-optimized)
  • PDF export and sharing functionality
  • LinkedIn profile optimization tools
  • One-Click Apply job tailoring

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • One person may not maintain more than one free account

4. User Content

Ownership: You retain full ownership of all CV content you create using CVRole. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your CV content.

License to us: By using the Service, you grant CVRole a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Prohibited content: You may not use CVRole to create content that is:

  • Fraudulent, misleading, or defamatory
  • Infringing on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Violating applicable employment laws or regulations
  • Containing malware, spam, or malicious code

5. Subscription and Payment Terms

5.1 Free Tier

The Free tier is available indefinitely. Free users can create up to 3 CVs and download them as watermarked PDFs. No credit card is required for the Free tier.

5.2 Paid Plans

  • Pro ($9.99/month or $79.99/year) and Premium ($19.99/month or $159.99/year) plans are billed in advance
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • All prices are in USD. VAT may apply based on your location
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe

5.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email and may cancel before the new price takes effect.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first paid subscription, contact us at support@cvrole.com for a full refund. No questions asked. See our full refund policy for details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws
  • Create AI-generated content that misrepresents your qualifications to employers

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

CVRole uses Claude AI to assist in generating CV content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is a suggestion, not a guarantee of employment success
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content for accuracy
  • Submitting false or exaggerated information to employers is your sole responsibility
  • CVRole is not liable for the outcomes of job applications made using our Service

9. Intellectual Property

The CVRole platform, including its design, templates, code, branding, and AI integration, is owned by CVRole and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our platform without written permission.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may delete your account from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVRole shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or loss of employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for MENA users, and EU law for European users. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration before pursuing court action.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days in advance.
